お抹茶と伝統文化体験に「Amazing!」が止まらない特別なひととき
皆さま、こんにちは。「はかた舞娘茶屋 わ乃桂のおもて」です。
当店の佇む博多・川端通商店街は、100年以上の歴史を誇り、博多の商人の心意気が今も息づく非常に情緒溢れる場所です。そんな歴史ある通りから一歩足を踏み入れた当店へ、先日、台湾から笑顔がとてもキュートで素敵なゲストが遊びに来てくださいました！
今回お客様に挑戦していただいたのは、日本の美意識が詰まった「茶道体験」です。 満月と龍が描かれたモダンで洗練された和の空間に、一歩足を踏み入れた瞬間から、お客様の目はキラキラと輝いていました。
目の前で、艶やかな着物に身を包んだはかた舞娘（まいこ）が、凛とした美しい所作でお茶を点てていきます。茶筅が茶碗に触れるシャカシャカという心地よい音。そして、お湯が注がれた瞬間にふわっと部屋いっぱいに広がる、お抹茶の芳醇で深い香り――。その五感に訴えかける「和」の世界に、お客様はすっかり魅了されたご様子でした。
鑑賞の後は、いよいよお客様ご自身でお茶を点てる体験です。 舞娘に教わりながら、真剣かつ楽しそうに茶筅を動かすお客様。ご自身の手で綺麗に点てられたお抹茶を一口含むと、その深い味わいと本格的な文化の奥深さに、思わず「Amazing!（素晴らしい！）」と満面の笑みで何度も連発してくださいました。
そのピュアな喜びの表情と歓声に、レクチャーしていた舞娘をはじめ、私たちスタッフ一同も胸が熱くなるほど嬉しい気持ちでいっぱいになりました。言葉の壁を越えて、博多の伝統芸能や日本の伝統文化体験を通じて心と心が深く繋がった瞬間は、まさに私たちが何よりも大切にしている「おもてなし」の結晶です。

A Wonderful Guest from Taiwan! A Special Day of Matcha and Culture with Endless “Amazing!” Moments
Hello everyone from Hakata Maiko Chaya “Wanoka-no-Omote”!
Our venue is located in Hakata’s historic Kawabata Shopping Arcade, a vibrant street with over a century of history where the true merchant spirit of Hakata still lives on. Recently, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming a wonderful, bright, and smiling guest all the way from Taiwan!
During their visit, they took part in our authentic “Tea Ceremony Experience,” which embodies the very essence of Japanese aesthetics. From the moment they stepped into our modern yet traditional space adorned with images of the full moon and dragons, their eyes lit up with pure excitement.
Sitting up close, they watched our lovely Hakata Maiko, dressed in a gorgeous kimono, prepare the tea with graceful, refined movements. The soothing, rhythmic sound of the whisk against the bowl, followed by the rich, comforting aroma of premium matcha filling the air—every sensory detail of this traditional culture captured their heart.
After watching the demonstration, it was time for our guest to try making their own bowl of tea. Guided gently by the Maiko, they focused intently, whisking the tea with a big smile. When they took their first sip of the matcha they had brewed themselves, they couldn’t help but shout “Amazing!” over and over again, completely captivated by the profound depth and joy of the experience.
Seeing their pure delight and hearing their enthusiastic cheers brought so much warmth and happiness to our Maiko and the entire staff. It was a beautiful moment of cross-cultural connection where language barriers vanished, and we truly connected through Hakata’s traditional performing arts and the spirit of Japanese hospitality.
