Welcome to “Hakata-Maiko-Chaya WAONKA-no-OMOTE,” located in the Kawabata-dori Shopping Street within Hakata’s historic district.

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming wonderful guests from Malaysia!
After discovering our shop during the day, they returned in the evening to spend a memorable time with our Hakata Maiko (apprentice geisha) in a modern Japanese setting illuminated by the glow of the full moon. Moments like these—connecting across borders through smiles—bring our staff the greatest joy.
